What a wonderful Sunday it was.

Last Sunday, I got to praise and worship God again in front of a large congregation. It was so much fun and I felt nothing but honoured to be able to do so for the second time in a row. Even though I was so nervous at first (funny thing I was not as nervous the first time), the nervousness just slipped away as I praised His glorious name. Before we went onstage for the duty, I was talking to my tribe sister, Samantha. She was telling me that she was applying to all 3 universities but said that she didn't get ideal results for her A levels. I was telling her not to worry and I could sense that there was so much anxiety in her. I wanted to assure her that the Lord will definitely help her no matter what but I could say nothing. After the worship was over, we went back to our seats for the sermon. As Ps Khong was preaching, I was frantically flipping through the Bible for a verse to minister to Samantha. Finally after 10 minutes of searching and by the grace of God, I found it! Jeremiah 29:11.

"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you."

I prayed for her and blessed her with this verse that the Holy Spirit was asking me to tell her. After praying, I opened by my eyes and was so surprised to see that tears were flowing down her cheeks. I honestly didn't know that my prayer would have such an effect on her and I only wanted to tell her what God wanted me to tell her. And I thank God that He used me as a vessel in this situation because I could imagine how it'd felt like to be in her position.

And I thank God for His divine appointment for me to get to know Jiali, whom I didn't have such a good impression of. But now I know that she's a really nice girl. And I thank God for that sunlight He shone on me when I came out of Hall 9, like He was telling me, "I'm shining on you, my warrior of LIGHT".
