List of quirky/weird traits/things that I have/dislike/hate

Hey ppl,
lol I know I'm a weirdo so I thought maybe I could find out just how weird I am..

Foods
1) I dislike Chinese New Year love letters. Just don't like them. I don't know why. I only like one particular brand that I ate sometime ago last year but I forgot to take a look at the tin for the brand, haha.

2) I used to hate bananas cos I hated the yucky slimy texture. But now I like it, I have no idea why. Maybe now I can tolerate it better and the sweet taste surpasses the slimy texture so I can take it.

3) I hate brinjals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUCK! it's so slimy and it tastes weird!!!!

4) I love oranges but I just don't like the chalky texture you get in between your upper and lower teeth when you grind both sets together after eating the fruit.

5) I like to cook my mum's curry chicken with yellow noodles cos I miss them so much from my primary school canteen stall but I can never get the same taste back.

6) I used to hate "hum" (clams?? you can find them in laksa or fried kway teow) but after that bowl of laksa I had in Century Square, I've come to find that I love it, haha!!

7) I love the bak kut teh from Kallang Airport last time when it was still there. I love the feeling of having my grandad sitting beside me and pouring the tea for everyone and my family enjoying their bak kut teh. I also like the bak kut teh from the old Chinatown hawker centre but don't know if it's still there.

8) I love fried hokkien prawn mee from the old Serangoon hawker centre.

9) I love steak (1/4 rare, 3/4 done)

10) I cook my myojo maggi mee with ingredients that I can find from the fridge, rarely just the maggi and egg.

Things that I do

1) I put up the Christmas tree every year and it used to be me doing it alone. Now at least I am able to pull in my brother and sisters to help out. If I don't put it up, nobody ever will touch it, which is so troublesome and annoying!!!!!!! My mum has agreed that we'll buy live Christmas trees next year onwards from Ikea so I get to pick the tree!! Yeah!! I'll be like Summer in the OC, lol.. "Branches must be thick... Pines must be wet" that kind of thing.

2) It's not that I'm not afraid of cockroaches - it's just that I'm so afraid of them and hate them so much that I will kill them with ALL MY MIGHT with the roll of newspapers in my hand. Nowadays I leave the killing to my mum cos I'm too disgusted with them that I run away.

3) I like to shop and hang out alone. I don't know why haha.. It's just less burdensome to be able to just go everywhere by yourself. Although it gets a little boring sometimes and lonely too.

4) I like to make these large boards and paste them with cutouts from magazines. I have like four right now, stuck on my walls.

5) I like to surf the web for pictures that I like - like clothes, shoes, jewelry, celebrities, paintings, sketches, etc.

6) I like punk-pop, punk-rock bands (the Click Five, Rooney, Hot Hot Heat) that play fun songs but also like indie-pop, indie-rock bands (Death Cab for Cutie, Guster, Nada Surf) that play nice tunes and emo-bands (The Album Leaf, The Get Up Kids, Damien Rice, Athlete) that play really sad songs. I also like some (ONLY SOME) really really rock songs by bands like Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Jacks' Mannequin but I hate Metallica and all those heavy metal stuff. I'm a really weird person with so many contradicting tastes in music genres, I dunno why.

4) Variety shows for old people
5) Seeing old people pick up newspapers and cardboards cos they're too poor and have no one to look after them. I look away cos I can't bear to look.
6) Naughty children that are so disrespectful to you or anyone else who don't deserve it
7) Seeing people dying
8) Hearing my mum cough or see her getting hurt/injured
9) Realizing that I am at fault for something cos it's hard to admit I'm wrong

Things I love or would love to do

1) Heart-wrenching, ultra-sad songs that make you feel like your heart is torn to million pieces.
2) Being alone and doing stuff like reading, listening to music and drawing.
3) Old black and white Chinese movies (a penchant/liking that I inherited from my dad and grandad, haha.)
4) My grandad's beer.
5) My Archie Comics colorings.
6) My CDs.
7) My white iPod.
8) Books that tell you amazing stories about amazing people and things in life.
9) Romantic, funny movies like 13 Going on 30 and chick flicks, high school teen movies like A Cinderella Story
10) Be able to put down that very visual image I have in mind at that particular moment but at least now i can do it, altho very crudely if that thing is too hard to draw.

My bad habits

1) I bite my fingernails. (although I'm trying to grow them long now)
2) I pluck my hair when I'm too stressed out studying for exams.
3) I drink cold water everyday, at every meal. I hate hot/warm water but now I'm having cough and wheezing (cos of my never-ending asthma) so I have no choice but to drink it. and i thought people always say you grow out of asthma as u become older??
4) Getting stuck to the PC for hours and hours straight - my mum HATES the way I use the PC for such long hours.
5) I avoid guys that I like last time during school. I just feel too embarassed to look at them.
